Hair coloring or what others term as hair dying is a trending hair styling approach today. It is certainly a breathtaking method when professionally done using an ideal hair dye. However, as more people dye their hair often, the more they are left with a reduced density and certainly damaged hair.

P-Phenylenediamine (PPD)

Ammonia

Ammonia is included in the hair dye to help open the hair cuticles, but the chemical can lead to lung irritation and burns.

Formaldehyde
It is commonly used as a preservative in the hair dyes, but greatly linked to cancer. 

The rest of the chemicals to watch out for include DMDM Hydantoin, Parabens, Hydrogen Peroxide, Lead Acetate, and Resorcinol.

Safeguards To Prevent Hair Damage From Hair Dyes?

1. Choose a hair dye which is low in ammonia and hydrogen peroxide and try as much as possible to prevent buying a hair dye with the above-mentioned chemicals.

2. Wear protective gloves and glasses while applying the hair dye. Use the dye with care.

3. Read and follow the instructions provided on the hair dye before using it.

4. Remove the hair dye as instructed by the manufacturer

5. Avoid dying your hair in case you have a scalp problem

6. Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner

Can Hair Dying Lead To Baldness?
